Resort Amenities
The Sands features a great collection of amenities. Foremost is their free-flowing pool, which centers the six buildings that make up the resort. Bridges cross the pool, and the winding design offers more privacy than the typical hotel pool.
This property is part of the Hartling Group, which also manages The Shore Club and The Palms. A complimentary shuttle service is offered between all three resorts.
Spa Tropique, a leading spa and beauty center with many locations on Providenciales, also has a location at the resort property, and offers a full menu of treatments, as well as mobile services when requested.
Hemingway’s restaurant boasts an excellent beachfront location. This casual dining spot and bar is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a menu of international favorites and locally caught seafood. Both indoor and al fresco seating is available.
For activities, there’s tennis, an air-conditioned fitness center, and complimentary use of bicycles, Hobie Cat sailboats, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, snorkel gear, beach loungers, towels, beach palapas and umbrellas, and a Jacuzzi.
The resort concierge can also help with arranging offsite charters, golf, dining reservations, transport, and more.
Beachfront on Grace Bay Beach
As most visit the Turks and Caicos for our spectacular beaches, it’s important to be on a perfect white sand beach.
The Sands is ideally situated on a great stretch of beach and is bordered by undeveloped parcels, so the beach fronting the resort tends to be less crowded than what is typical at other hotels in the area.
The entirety of Grace Bay Beach is amazing, yet the coast does vary a little across its 3 miles (4.8 km). The resort is located just west of Forbes Point (where Point Grace resort stands), a very slight peninsula, so the spot is often sheltered from the constant eastern trade winds, and consequently, the water close to the beach is calmer than at other locations.
As is the norm for Grace Bay, and the adjacent Leeward Beach and Bight Beach, The ocean water is incredible, clear, and of course a breathtaking turquoise.
