Barbetta House is a fine dining restaurant known for its Mediterranean cuisine infused with Caribbean flavors, and is located at The Somerset Resort on Grace Bay Beach.
Under the direction of its executive chef Eversley Rowe, who brings more than 25 years of experience and award-winning cuisine to the restaurant, Barbetta has become a stand-out on the island for those in search of Mediterranean cuisine, despite being a fairly new addition to the island.
The Menu
Variety is often said to be the spice of life, and Barbetta House has adopted this mantra with its diverse menu that offers a heavy Spanish influence, yet with local flair. You can enjoy your meal indoors, by the beach, at the pool bar, or at the elegant tapas lounge at this quiet, intimate restaurant.
For a tasty and nutritious breakfast to start the day, patrons can choose from classic breakfast dishes such as eggs benedict, a smoked salmon bagel, or avocado toast, to name a few options.
For dinner, although the restaurant’s signature paella is perhaps what Barbetta is best known for, their menu options certainly don’t stop there. You’ll also find dishes such as tuna tartare, grilled octopus, herb-crusted snapper, beef carpaccio, curry tofu, mahi mahi, and much more. Barbetta also offers a dedicated children’s menu, making it a great option for those traveling with young children.
For a quick lunch or a small snack, Barbetta also has a poolside bar offering a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails. The lunch menu includes local conch fritters, cracked conch, quesadillas, nachos, pizzas, sandwiches, and more.

For breakfast and dinner, Barbetta is open every day except for Tuesday. The poolside bar is open for lunch and bar service daily, and the tapas lounge is open from Thursday to Sunday each week, with live music on Friday and Sunday.
Special Events
If you’re a buffet fan or simply want to enjoy a delicious meal directly on the beach coupled with live entertainment, every Tuesday evening Barbetta hosts a buffet-style beach barbecue and bonfire. Enjoy a rum bar, tasty desserts, tiki torches, a live DJ, a fire dancer that puts on an exciting show, and of course soft white sand between your toes. Barbetta’s beach barbecue is fun for the entire family and should not be missed.
A private beach dining experience complete with fine wine can also be arranged at Barbetta on Monday and Wednesday evenings, for those in search of something a bit more exclusive.
Private gatherings such as corporate functions, weddings, birthdays, and fundraisers can also be arranged at Barbetta by contacting the restaurant directly.
As Barbetta is a fine dining restaurant that utilizes high-quality ingredients and fresh produce in the preparation of its meals, prices are on the higher end of the scale but remain consistent with what you’ll find at other restaurants of a similar caliber. Due to limited capacity, reservations are required for the beach BBQ and private beach dining. While reservations are not required yet are recommended for dinner or lunch in the restaurant. Reservations can be made via the restaurant’s website as well as by phone.
Barbetta is somewhat of a hidden gem on the island, and while it is not as well-known as other restaurants on Providenciales, the excellent service, captivating ambiance, Mediterranean flavors, and live music will surely appeal to most travelers in search of a unique and refined dining experience in Grace Bay.
The Somerset is situated on the quieter eastern side of Grace Bay. The shopping plazas and major resorts of central Grace Bay are a short drive away, although you may also choose to walk. Taxis can also be arranged to the Somerset from most of the island’s resorts.
